Yamaha tsr-700 review: I want to be able to see 4K content and use a Dolby ATMOS for the same reason I want a new TV and Receiver. On this setup, I won’t be playing. It’s exclusively for viewing and watching Blu-Ray and/or NAS movies.
On how to crochet this, I’m puzzled. I would like to run it all to the recipient because I’m not sure what HDMI port I use on television. If you look at Samsung TV, you can find 3 HDMI in (HDMI 1, HDMI2 – eARC, and HDMI 3).
Am I right to say that eARC is at the moment the main problem, as it doesn’t work for those who want to use new consoles?
Yesterday, I picked up the V4A and it might be back to Best Buy. HDR involves extreme colour banding. From what I can say so far, SDR looks fine. And I can directly run my Apple TV 4K on my TV, and use HDR so it’s great.
I’m not the only person with this issue. There’s another guy I’ve seen in YouTube’s remarks with a V6A. I don’t know whether it’s a problem with firmware or hardware.
It will allow me to do nothing until I have updated to the new version and I will not be able to compare both firmwares. Today I’m going to call Yamaha and see if they know this issue.
