Who Attended Adele Concert: In the audience of Adele’s CBS special, there were more stars in the aisles than there are stars in the sky above Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, Adele One Night Only saw the 33-year-old singer take to the stage at the Griffith Observatory, where she performed for an A-list audience that included Gabrielle Union, her husband Dwyane Wade, and James Corden, to name a few notables.
According to Tyler Perry, who disclosed this at an Entertainment Weekly preview special, “I traveled all across the country just to be here.” The Late Late Show’s host, Conan O’Brien, was very enthusiastic about the occasion. What an incredible evening,” Corden remarked at the conclusion of the show. However, this was merely the beginning.
According to a shocking turn of events, during Adele’s one-night-only show, she instructed the celebrity-filled crowd not to make any noise when a guy called Quentin walked onto the stage.
The concert was staged so that Quentin could propose to his long-term girlfriend, Ashley, in front of a crowd of A-list celebs on the red carpet.
In preparation for the big surprise, he escorted his soon-to-be fiancée onto the platform while wearing a blindfold and noise-canceling headphones. He then swiftly got down on one knee.
“I want to express my gratitude to you for your patience with me,” Quentin said to Ashley during the proposal.
Adele has returned to the limelight in a huge manner after spending the previous six years mainly out of the spotlight. Earlier this year, to coincide with the release of her highly anticipated new album, 30, she performed a special live concert for CBS — and let’s just say the guest was out of this world.
An interview with none other than Oprah Winfrey was included, as were performances of several of Adele’s new songs in front of a star-studded crowd. Adele One Night Only was broadcast on the Oprah Winfrey Network. Lizzo and Melissa McCarthy were in the audience at Adele’s concert at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, where they sat in the first row like happy parents while the singer sang.
Lizzo was one of the first celebs to be recognized during the two-hour event when Adele gave her a shout-out and complimented her appearance early on in the show.
“Also, get you, Lizzo,” Adele said, clearly happy to meet the singer in the flesh. Do you really believe you can outshine me, babes? I really like it, and I really like the poncho coat. Oh, that’s right. Nice’.
Following Adele One Night Only on CBS Sunday night, viewers were treated to many glimpses of celebs in the audience as a large number of the star’s celebrity followers looked on.
Selena Gomez, Leonardo DiCaprio, Drake, and Lizzo were just a few of the celebrities that turned out for the special event, which was taped at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles in late October and shown on the network.
In addition to Oprah Winfrey introducing the artist and doing an interview with her about her life, a number of other celebrities, including fellow Brits Gordon Ramsay and James Corden, were observed throughout the evening.
