White Fragility Book Review: White Fragility was released in 2018 but sprinted up on the best-selling New York Times in the middle of the demonstrations after George Floyd’s death and his subsequent national racism estimate.
DiAngelo has informed college administrators, company human resources agencies, and most of the readers that white Americans must embark on a self-critic project of looking at racial distortions that many have scarcely known to have been investigated and operated against.
I’m not persuaded. Rather, I have heard that a racist tract is still one of America’s favourite books of guidance. In the name of dignifying us, notwithstanding the author’s best intentions, the book diminishes the Black people.
This is of course, unintentional, as DiAngelo sees bias in every white individual. The book is also detrimental because it has power over the way innocent readers believe that its author has been given.
