Thulani Serero Salary: Thulani Caleb Serero (born 11 April 1990) is a footballer from South Africa who plays for Al Jazira and the South African national team as a midfielder. He played in the South African Premier Soccer League for Ajax and Ajax Cape Town before joining Vitesse. He was cut from the national team squad on 7 September 2013, the day before their 2014 World Cup qualification group match against Botswana, for disciplinary reasons.
Serero reportedly claimed to the team doctor, according to Gordon Igesund, that he did not want to play in the match in order to avoid risking injury ahead of his club’s upcoming UEFA Champions League match.
These arguments were refuted by Serero, claiming that he was really injured and thus wary of participating in the game. His gross income is calculated at $2,991,988, while his adjusted income is approximately $3,078,003.
