Shauna Mcgrath Rip – She was killed on Tuesday, July 12th, 2022, in a horrific accident at Cloncoskeran, Abbeyside, Co. Waterford. Her paternal grandpa Noel Fleming preceded her in death. In addition to her grieving parents, she leaves behind a slew of loved ones: sister Cadhla (and Joey, her partner) and Liam Power (and John and Breda McGrath), cousins (and their families), friends (and their friends’ families), aunts, uncles, cousins (and cousins’ families), and many others.

In addition to her grieving parents, Sean (Hiker) and Eleanor, her sister Cadhla and Joey, her devoted boyfriend Liam Power, and her adoring grandmothers John and Breda McGrath and Ann Fleming, Shauna leaves behind a large and loving family.

relatives, neighbours, and friends from all walks of life. In the name of God, may she rest in eternal peace There will be a viewing at the deceased’s residence (Eircode: X35 PF58) on Friday, July 15th, from 3pm to 8pm.

St. Augustine’s Church, Abbeyside, will host a funeral mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 16th. After the funeral, the body was buried at the nearby cemetery.

Midwifery students at University Hospital Waterford have paid tribute to a ‘lovely, bright’ student who was died after working a night shift as a student midwife (UHW).

On Tuesday morning, at around 8.30 a.m., Shauna McGrath, a 22-year-old woman, was killed when her car collided with a lorry on the N25.

Midwifery students at University Hospital Waterford have paid tribute to a ‘lovely, bright’ student who was died after working a night shift as a student midwife (UHW).

When the automobile Shauna McGrath, 22, was driving collided with a truck on the N25 at around 8.30am on Tuesday, she was killed instantly.

The corpse of Shauna was brought to University Hospital Waterford, where she was pronounced dead. There were no life-threatening injuries to the lorry’s driver, but he was brought to the hospital anyway.

“Shauna played with Abbeyside Ladies Football at underage and adult levels, winning County and Munster Club titles with her club at U14, U15, U16, U18 and Adult,” the club noted in a Facebook post on its own page. Shauna also excelled at inter-county competitions for Waterford. We shall all miss Shauna, a well-liked and well-talented young lady.”

All Abbeyside Ladies Football events have been postponed until Monday, July 18, in honour of Shauna.

Munster Camogie paid homage to Shauna on its Facebook page, writing: “Shauna began playing with An Rinn and Abbeyside camogie at underage level and swiftly advanced to adult level with her club (Abbeyside) with great distinction. In 2016, she and Waterford won an All-Ireland title at the U16 level.

She was one of the most popular panellists in 2016. Many of our younger athletes looked up to her. Her bright disposition and radiant smile will live on in our hearts forever.”

The Abbeyside Camogie Club paid homage to the young nurse on social media since Shauna was a great camogie player.

The demise of one of our Abbeyside camogie players, a lovely and brilliant young lady, was met with tremendous grief and bewilderment,’ the club posted on social media.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.’

To Shauna’s mother Eleanor, father Hiker, sister Cadhla, boyfriend Liam, as well as Shauna’s other loved ones, the club offers its sincere sympathies.

After her shift on Tuesday, Shauna, a University Limerick midwifery student, tragically took her own life. On Twitter, the INMO paid respects to the bright young man. Waterford Camogie also paid homage to Shauna McGrath on Facebook, stating, ‘The camogie and football communities were grieved yesterday on hearing of the awful and untimely demise of Shauna McGrath.’

‘Abbeyside Camogie & Football Club has Shauna as a member. When she was just 16 years old, she was part of the Waterford U16B All Ireland champions.

The entire Abbeyside Camogie family, as well as Eleanor’s mother Hiker, father Hiker, sister Cadhla, and boyfriend Liam, are in our thoughts and prayers. ‘God bless Shauna.’ In the arms of the angels, “Shauna… teammate… girlfriend… daughter… sister… may you rest in peace.”

Unfortunately, Shauna lost her life right there on the spot, and her body was taken to the hospital where she worked for a postmortem.

Injuries to the lorry driver are thought to be non-life-threatening.

The Irish police have made a public call for any witnesses to come forward.

One person was killed and another was injured in a car accident on the N25 at Faha, near Kilmacthomas, County Waterford, on Tuesday, July 12, 2022,” a spokeswoman said.

Around 8:30am, two vehicles collided head-on in the middle of the road. When police arrived on the scene, they found the driver of the automobile dead.
