Settle Status Share Code: Immediately following your application to the EU Settlement Scheme, the Home Office will send you an email informing you of the status they have assigned to your application. Your decision letter is the document that contains your final determination.

As soon as you get your decision letter, you may go online to GOV.UK to check your pre-settled or settled status.

Your pre-settled or settled status will not be displayed on a card if you are from the EU, the EEA, or Switzerland. Your status will only be displayed online if you are from one of these countries.

It is possible for your youngster to establish their own internet presence. The email address or phone number that you used to submit your child’s application will be required in order to check their progress on GOV.UK.

Get a share code from GOV.UK to share your current location with someone else. When you receive the code, it is a good idea to print or write it down.

It is possible to provide your share code to someone who requires it in order to verify your current statuses, such as a landlord or employer.

This code is only good for 30 days, and if it is not used within that time period, you will be required to obtain a new one from the website owner. You should keep in mind that your decision letter is not a confirmation of your current standing in the process.

If you provide a share code to your landlord, employer, or local council, they will be able to check on your status online.

Employers and landlords who conducted a background check on you before to 1 July 2021 and wish to do so again may be engaging in discrimination – unless they are doing so for every employee or renter. If you believe you have been discriminated against, you should speak with an adviser about your situation.

Any EU citizen who has pre-settled or settled status is referred to as having a digital status. To verify your legal status to others, such as an employer or a landlord, you will need to provide them with a “share code.”

Enter your passport or identification card data as well as your date of birth on this page https://www.gov.uk/view-prove-immigration-status/ and you will be given a ‘share code,’ which you can then give to your employer or landlord so that they may check your immigration status with them.

It is possible to spend up to five years in a row outside the United Kingdom without losing your settled status if you have been given Indefinite Leave to Remain (also known as Indefinite Leave to Remain). This is not the case if you are a Swiss citizen or a member of their family.

If you are a Swiss citizen or the relative of a Swiss citizen, you should be aware that you can only spend a total of four years in a row outside the United Kingdom without losing your Settled Status.

It is possible for your Settled Status to be revoked if you spend more than this period of time outside the UK without returning. You will be required to submit a fresh application under a different immigration route if this occurs and you desire to return to the United Kingdom to live. You should keep in mind that any new applications must be compliant with the current immigration regulations. Considering that we do not yet know what these will be, it is probable that some individuals could be ineligible for re-entry into the United Kingdom if their Settled Status expires.
