Ray Parlour Daughter: “I’m very acquainted with Jerry,” Ray Parlour told talkSPORT of his relationship to Gunnersaurus. “My brother is married to his daughter, but they are now divorced. Karen Parlour, the former wife of Arsenal and England player Ray Parlour, who makes £1.2 million a year, won a historic legal fight yesterday. Karen Parlour was given more than a third of Ray’s potential wages for at least four years, according to attorneys, in a judgment that may deter high-earning men from marrying.

Mrs Parlour and another divorcee, Julia McFarlane, the former wife of a £750,000-a-year accountant, were awarded extra yearly support by the court of appeal to help them in building a “nest egg.”

For the past several years, a man has been required to pay just enough to satisfy his former wife’s “reasonable requirements,” with the rest of the money staying in his own account after both parties needs are met.

Rather than that, they said that their husbands’ huge future earnings were a “matrimonial resource” comparable to the worth of their family homes and other assets, from which they were entitled to a share.

Mrs Parlour, 33, whose marriage lasted three and a half years following three years of cohabitation, had already agreed to accept 37% of the family assets – two homes worth more than £1 million and a lump sum of £250,000 to settle her claims for a share of capital – before the divorce was officially finalised on July 1.

Mrs Bennett was awarded £250,000 in annual maintenance in January after a high court judge determined that her former husband’s offer of £120,000 did not adequately reflect the significant role she played in convincing him to abandon the hard-drinking “laddish” culture prevalent among certain Arsenal players.

Mrs Parlour stated before the high court that, previous to manager Arsène Wenger’s appointment at Arsenal in 1996, there was a significant level of drinking among some Arsenal players. It was at that point that she realised she was on the road to “destruction and despair,” and she pleaded with her husband to abandon the lifestyle.

Believe it or not, he walked down the aisle in his Gunnersaurus costume when they married!

“When Gunnersaurus saw me, he would remark something along the lines of, ‘Alright, Ray?'” ‘He is capable of communication!’ said the youngsters.

Gunnersaurus garnered significant media attention after the announcement that Arsenal had parted company with their long-serving mascot. When the Emirates Stadium’s doors are locked, there is no need to amuse fans. This decision was taken as a result of the consistently low turnout in the stands.

Fortunately, Mesut Ozil offered to cover Jerry Quy’s salary while he was working inside Gunnersaurus, allowing the kid to reclaim his Arsenal job. On social media, Arsenal fans from all around the globe praised the playmaker on his kind gesture.

Since 1993, when the now-famous dinosaur costume was created, Quy has been the man who inhabits it. He has been a fan of Arsenal since he was a child, attending his first match in 1963. On one occasion, Jerry missed his brother’s wedding in order to attend a home game and fulfil his Gunnersaurus duties.
