Potato Chip Bag Folding Hack: There is no lack of home products if you do not have enough chip clips to hold your snack bags shut, or you have a lost habit. Towels, binder clips, and rubber bands, as well as pickpocket holders all, do the job and you can even pinch a particularly sturdy paper clip or bobby pin.
First, you fold the two sides of your bag down to the end, so that the top of the bag is like a triangle, like the way a gift will be wrapped. Then roll up the triangle a few times before a pocket is formed that allows you to tuck the point of the triangle under. Roll down a few times the top of the bag and you’ve achieved.
But all you need actually to seal up your half-eaten bag of potato chips is the bag itself, as many people on the internet have just discovered. Last week, Bravo’s Top Chef actor and host Padma Lakshmi posted a Twitter video of closing Fritos bag closely without any enhanced chip clips.
Lakshmi turns the bag upside down and offers a few shakes at the end of the video to show everyone how safe it is. She tweeted the hack with the expression, “How do I know now? “And, with the viewing of the video over ten million times, it’s fair to assume that she isn’t the one that didn’t know the hack.
