Olinda Creek Trail: The Olinda Creek Walking Track is one of Dandenong’s popular attractions and a favorite for outdoor enthusiasts. The path passes between the Park of the Silvan Reservoir and the Recreational Park of Mount Evelyn. The walk-in in either direction can be completed.
A 5.6 km walk, which will take about 2 hours for you (one way), will be the Olinda Creek Walking Track. The walk is of a simple grade, but at the beginning of the walk, there is a moderate hill.
Other than this section, the track is normally flat and because of its total length, it will be moderate in difficulty. The Olinda Creek Walking Track branches off two more short walks: the Messmate Walking Track (1.4 km) and the Gray Gum Walking Track (2.3 km).
Regardless of whether you leave the park or arrive in the Silvan Reservoir, bird watchers can spend some time here, as you can see several different waterbird species including spoonbills and herons with long legs.
