Michelle Knight Son Joey Reunite

Michelle Knight Son Joey Reunite: Michelle Knight had to have believed she was cursed for the first three decades of her life, and she was right. She grew up in a low-income household that could hardly afford to give their children a quality dinner on a regular basis. Knight has fled after being subjected to sexual assault at the hands of a family member. Her father ultimately agreed to send her to school, where she became pregnant and gave birth to a son.

After the youngster had an unlucky accident, child protective authorities removed him from his home. Michelle encountered Ariel Castro while on her way to the courtroom to plead for the boy’s custody. He would become her captor for more than a decade. The young mom, Michelle, was already going through the excruciating trauma of losing custody of her two-year-old son Joey when Ariel Castro selected her as his victim on that August day in 2002.

Michelle, the daughter of divorced parents, had been ridiculed at school because of her tiny stature (she was 4 feet 7 inches tall) and had been dubbed “shorty.” Afterward, she admitted to being a victim of male relative’s sexual harassment and abuse.

After saying, ‘For my son, I pray and hope that I am able to see him soon,’ she went on to say that she ‘really believed’ the meeting will take place.

Michelle shared her experience of enduring more than a decade of torture and rape at the hands of Castro, confessing that she was sustained by the thought of her child.

The book, she says, “certainly helped me get through all those years.” ‘I don’t know what I would’ve done if it hadn’t been for my son being out there, hoping that someone would come back to him.’

I snatched a blanket off the back porch of a neighbor. I’m all huddled up with it… There was a bridge, and I can hear automobiles passing by on the other side. “It was simply the vibrations that, you know, helped me stay calm.”

Later, she was discovered and reported to her father, who reinstated her in the school system. She then began seeing a young man, who became pregnant as a result of her relationship with him. In her interview with ’20/20,’ Knight discusses how, despite her difficulties, she wished to be a better mother to her kid.

“I wanted to be the greatest mother I could be,” she explained. I aspire to be a better person than… my mother. Due to the fact that I didn’t have much money, it was challenging.” When this happened, it signaled the beginning of a new type of fight for Knight as well.
