Keep This a Secret From Mom: Wahlburgers actor and New Kids on the Block member Donnie Wahlberg earlier revealed that their mother was suffering from memory loss due to Alzheimer’s disease.

“Alma was in a similar predicament. My mother, who raised, educated, and steered me in the right direction throughout my life, is a fantastic woman. In addition to her passion for life, Alma was proud of her humble origins and refused to let them fade from her memory. As a result of these events, I have evolved into the person I am today.” Donnie released a two-minute video on Instagram in memory of his mother.

Alma had seven children, including Arthur, Paul, Jim, Robert, Donnie, Mark, Michelle, Debbie, Tracey, and Tracey Wahlberg. After 17 years of marriage, she divorced Donald Wahlberg. In July of the following year, he notified his followers that his mother’s condition had worsened.

“She’s doing OK, thank you for the concern. Inquiries about my mother Alma’s health have been made by many of you. While Alma was unable to recall much during my visit, she was still Alma. In spite of her age, she still has the ability to make a room glow.

Over the course of my life, I’ve battled alcoholism and other addictions; I’ve been rich and poor; I’ve lost loved ones; I’ve raised nine wonderful children; I’ve lost myself; and yet, I’ve always found my way back to who I am. No matter what happened, I didn’t stop going forward.

When Wahlberg and the others returned from their beach excursion, they were joined by a group of primarily black fourth-graders, including a survivor of the shooting that had occurred the day before.
