Lollipop lady salary: ‘The Lady of Lollipop’ Amy Dowsett showed that she earns huge wages as a transport agent on a building site, about twice the amount a child caregiver earns. She says that in recent years, the construction business boomed and all thanks to the union of the industry it took her only two days to train for work! Another known as a lollipop lady, a traffic controller in Sydney earns a whopping $130 000 a year, which is the money that TWICE’s nurses earn.
Building, forestry, mining and energy union members earn 40 dollars an hour. The travel allowance also amounts to $45 and $22 per day. She said she can also be paid between $2.10 and $3.95 per hour depending on the size of the project.
She will even receive double-time if she works on the Penrith site more than ten hours a day. But non-CFMEU employees earn significantly less – about half the salary of Ms. Dowsett.
