Leckerbaer Review: The pastry shop makes all from scratch, and there are 8 Småkager on their counter to choose from. Leckerbaer has been created by two pastry chefs, Gabi and Jakob Baer Mogense who have extensive experience in the Michelin-Star Scandinavian scene.
Singapore flavors include pineapple, milk, chocolate, vanilla, the fruit of passion, raspberry, citrus fruit, and caramels. In Denmark, the 8 forms often rotate to keep customers engaged, and I think that should be the case here.
They don’t sell per piece, but by boxes, if you want to take a take away. A box of 8 bits is for $22 (i.e. $2,75 per cookie piece), 12 for $32, and 16 for a cookie of $40.
I made a price comparison and a box in Denmark was around the same DKK 100 (SGD21.70). Some customers were in the line who were mildly shocked by the price and one eventually left.
I have no doubt that Singaporeans are eager to eat, including sweet food; but it may not be as good as anticipated that these Danish cookies will be buzzing. Might be a little fight here to get more acceptance.
