
Julian casablancas parents: The American singer, songwriter, guitarist and record producer, Julian Fernando Casablancas (born August 23, 1978). He is well known as The Strokes’ leading singer and lead songwriter and has released six studio records with him since his inception in 1998.

A solo album, Phrazes for the Young, was released by Casablancas in 2009. He formed the independent Cult Records label the same year, with artists such as The Growlers, Rey Pila and Karen O representing him.

In 2013 he has been a leader for The Voidz, formerly Julian Casablancas + The Voidz, experimental rock music band. Two albums, Tyranny (2014) and Virtue, have been released (2018).

You know some of the Strokes kids, yes, they were successful for their parents — but we did not live like yuppies. When I was eight, my parents divorced. I’ve been growing up alone with my family.

We didn’t say, ‘Oh, let’s put all on the leather jackets and pretend fun’ when we started the band, do you know what I’m going to say? That was who we were. We were who.”

When they hit the band in late 2000, Rock and roll had been shouting for years. They were the most thrilling thing since CBGB’s heyday with their skinny jeans, 1970’s haircuts and cherubic pout.
