French Braid Hack: PLAITS and braids have never been more popular than they are right now, and if you want Kim Kardashian Dutch braids but are unable to braid from the root, look no further than this tutorial.
Fortunately, one TikTok user has shared her genius hack for creating French braids with the least amount of effort.
A TikTok video by Harmony Miller, 18, of London went viral after she shared her tip with the world. People can’t get enough of it.
When asked about the hairstyle in the video, Harmony responded, “Girls, if you don’t know how to french plait and your hair is in an absolute state, like this, please do this hairstyle, it is a bl**dy game-changer.”
According to Harmony, she has already seen four girls come up on her ‘For You Page’ who are committing the hack, and she is baffled as to why she hasn’t thought of this before.
It is necessary to part your hair in the middle and brush it thoroughly to ensure there are no knots in it before proceeding.
She then pulls half of her hair back into a ponytail so that it doesn’t get in the way while she’s talking.
She then instructs the client to take a small section from the front of the head and another section of the same size just beneath it and twist them together in the same direction.

This is our “cheaper French braid style – or perhaps you could refer to it as a French braid hack!” Technically, it’s called “Stacked Braids,” but when I was finished, I thought it looked a little bit like a French braid (yes? no?!) If you are unable to French braid, this is the tutorial for you! It’s perfect for the summer because it keeps the hair back and neatly combed. In addition, if you’re trying to grow out your bangs, this would be a good one to try.
The only thing better than a chic braided hairstyle to elevate your look, but as braids have matured, they’ve also become significantly more complicated (kind of like life, huh? (Cue Alanis Morissette’s song “Ironic” to play.)
