Freeway Daughter: Freeway is in a state of mourning. The North Philly rapper and founder of the Freedom Thinkers Academy announced to his Instagram followers on Sunday (Oct. 24) that his daughter, Harmony, had gone away after a battle with cancer. Freeway penned a touching statement alongside a video of herself dancing to Michael Jackson’s “Shake Your Body,” which was posted on social media.
“You know the expression sugar, spice, and everything nice? That’s how I describe my Harmony!” “I assure y’all she was the loveliest, most kind, most caring, generous, loving, and lovely person I ever met,” Freeway stated in his post. “Putting her in my life was a huge blessing from Allah.”
I adore her, and this is a terrible blow to my heart. This film was taken in February of this year, on the occasion of her 21st birthday. Despite the fact that she was battling cancer, she was always cheerful and cheerfully smiling, and she always managed to brighten my day. “The only thing that gives me comfort is knowing that she believes in Allah and that she was a nice person,” I say. “I’m not sure what else to say.”
Freeway, who has struggled with significant health issues in the past, has continued to call for help from his tribe, which has come in droves to assist him.
“Please remember her in your prayers and ask God to provide her with comfort and kindness,” he said. “Thank you.” “Take note, life and death are extremely real! Remember to appreciate your loved ones and keep them near to you at all times since we never know when our next breath will come. “She was honestly my best friend, and I don’t know what I’m going to do now since the sorrow is unbearable.”
Rapsody was one of the first to express her condolences to Freeway, tweeting, “love and prayers in abundance, Free……for peace, healing, and all you and your family need,” while Bun B said, “Sending you all my love and prayers,” in response to the news of his death. Meanwhile, Outkast icon Big Boi, as well as Wu-Tang Clan associate Shyheim The Rugged Child, both posted a simple prayer hands emoji on Twitter.
He described Harmony as “always joyful and always smiling,” and that she “always brightened up my day.” Harmony was facing cancer at the time of the interview.
‘The only thing that provides me with comfort is the knowledge that she is a devout Muslim who was a wonderful person.’ I really feel she possesses all of the qualifications necessary to reach paradise. We beg that you keep her in your prayers and that you ask God to provide her with peace and mercy,” Freeway said.
The rapper is most known for his time as a member of State Property, a rap group that was a part of Jay-Roc-A-Fella Z’s Records label in the early 2000s.
Harmony’s death occurs a year after the death of his son Jihad Pridgen, who died in October 2020 at the age of twenty. SnowHadd was the stage name of an aspiring rapper who performed.
