Dea Take Back .Com: Because of the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the next national Recipient Drug Take-Back Day scheduled on Saturday 25 April 2020 is postponed. In a few days after the health crisis declines and national guidelines have been lifted, the DEA shall reschedule Take Back Day.
DEA prioritises the protection and wellbeing of our citizens. Given the overwhelming public reaction to previous reception events and the expected high participation in April ‘s event, the DEA found that halting the event until safety issues are mitigated would be wise.
During this time , it is recommended to visit the DEA Diversion Control Locator page to locate safe drug disposal options.
Events at taking Back Day have offered simple, anonymous opportunities to remove drugs that are highly susceptible to misuse, assault, and robbery since 2010.
The DEA has secured almost 12.7 million pounds of obsolete, unused and unwanted prescription drugs through its country-wide partners through the nationwide Prescription Drug Take Back Initiative. This important public service will be resumed by DEA as soon as possible in safety.
